Getting in the Financial Flow

November 28th, 2008

Wooo Hoo!

Happy Black Friday!

I’m working on pumping my spirits up. I am not, by nature a shopper. I think the shopping gene skipped a generation in my family.

But, I do have two daughters aged fifteen and eleven. Fortunately, they like to sleep as much as they like to shop so we won’t be leaving the house for a few hours.

I’m not a big fan of crowds, artificial scarcity or urgency. My favorite clothes (after velvet gowns) are t-shirts and jeans. I like hiking and reading. I avoid malls like the plague.

But this year I’ve been thinking about shopping and Black Friday from a different point of view.

As many of you know, we seem to be experiencing an economic shift. It feels like money is tight and circumstances are stressful and scary. I know from the stories you have shared with me the last few weeks that many of you are facing financial and emotional challenges.

When money is tight, shopping isn’t fun. It can even feel depressing.

I know that for most of us, this will be a holiday season when we get deeper into the value of what we share with our loved ones. And the value we share may not come in the form of things.

(True abundance isn’t really about things at all. The things are just symptoms.)

When Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his inauguration speech in 1933 he gave us the beautiful phrase, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.”

FDR was speaking to us directly about the economy. He was warning us that if we stop spending, hoard and hide our money, that our actions would exacerbate the financial crisis, which, of course, they did.

Hoarding and hiding money, holding on to money out of fear and being afraid to spend are all symptoms of poverty consciousness.

Now, I already know I’m going to get a barrage of emails on this one so bear with me here. I’m not saying that we should go out and spend recklessly and beyond our means. I actually believe that is one of the many contributing causes of our financial situation.

Many of us (me included…I was once more than $80,000.00 in debt) spend more than we have because we’re afraid we won’t get what we want so we take matters into our own hands. As weird as this sounds, fear can also be the root of over-spending.

But I am saying that there is a flow to finances and prosperity. When money (or whatever form you choose to express your abundance) comes to you and you hold on to it in fear, you block yourself from being in the flow of abundance.

This is different from savings. Savings is consciously and deliberately creating a space where your money grows, with the intention of having your abundance multiply.

Holding on the money, hiding money under your mattress, not spending out of fear only causes you to focus your thoughts and energy on the fear that you won’t have enough and what you have will run out.

And of course, where you put your energy and attention is where you get results. (Law of Focused Success)

Focus on the fear of loss and you will dramatically speed up the losing process.

Our energies, intentions and vibrations do influence and impact others. I recently read an article talking about how our collective fear about our finances creates “herd mentality”, meaning it impacts and affects us all and we start acting out our fears in unison.

Our individual actions DO affect others, directly or indirectly. I saw a presentation by one of my local congressmen recently. He said that each and every house foreclosure economically impacts at least 40 people.

Our spending affects others and when we don’t spend, we also affect others.

We are all a part of the flow.

Today I plan on celebrating Black Friday (instead of hiding at home watching football). I intend to completely savor the flow of abundance and be delighted with each purchase. I will enjoy watching other shoppers doing the same. Our abundance and delight will collectively add to the abundance consciousness of us all.

I intend to shop with my attention focused on the abundance around me. It’s my responsibility to be in the flow. With each purchase, I see my dollars flowing to others to help pay for their holidays, food, house payment, education, etc.

I intend to be grateful for my abundance and add to the abundance consciousness of the collective. I choose to align with hope and faith that things are shifting strongly in our favor and I hold a vision that all of you experience the joyful limitless nature of abundance in all the beautiful ways that abundance can express itself through us here on Earth.

In invite you to join me in this celebration of abundant flow.

And, even if you’re not out spending today, or you truly are in a situation where your finances do not afford you that experience right now, know that you are still in the flow of abundance. You’re just making room for more and something better.

Good things are coming for all of us!

Love,
Karen

A New Twist on Gratitude

November 26th, 2008

It’s almost Thanksgiving and this time of year, as we gather close to our families and friends, we focus our attention on the expression of gratitude.

This year I want to add a new twist to Gratitude.

Gratitude is defined as:

“a feeling of thankful appreciation for favors or benefits received; thankfulness”

Almost all the definitions of gratitude I found had the same quality of expressing thanks for things received or for blessings. Gratitude implies being thankful for something “good”.

Sometimes we are faced with circumstances that seem truly terrible and we struggle to find the “good” in the situation. It’s hard to imagine feeling grateful for an icky boss, financial worries or even the loss or illness of a child.

When you look for the “good” in a situation it implies that there is good and bad and you have to sort through the “bad” to find the “good”.

Today I invite you to think about this powerful question:

What if it is all good?

We are infinitely wise beings.

When we choose to incarnate as people on this planet, most of us perceive only a portion of our soul essence in our incarnated form. But, even though we perceive ourselves to be “only human”, we are expanded Beings of Light, here on this planet to serve God by being on the leading edge of consciousness.

What does that mean?

You are a large, wise being whose job it is to serve God by thinking, desiring and creating. As you think, desire and create, you are helping God.

Everything in your life, you created to help yourself grow and evolve. Your Bigger You, your Higher Self, as we sometimes call it, is working with your human self to help you create experiences that further your growth and consciousness expansion. Your Higher Self is always “talking” to you using the Language of Emotions.

Learning to use your Mind and listen to your emotions (The language of your Higher Self) to create a life you truly desire is a skill that can help you radically create experiences that are in alignment with what you truly desire. Your focus, deliberate thoughts and intentions allow you to co-create your reality with your Higher Self, instead of feeling like a hapless victim of your reality.

So, think about this for a minute. If your life is being directed and co-created by Big You and Human You with the purpose of helping you grow and expand, every situation you are creating is, by nature “good”, because it is helping you grow.

Now I know, both from deep personal experience and from hearing your stories, it is very easy to question the “wisdom” of your Higher Self who is working with you to further your evolution. I mean, why would you intentionally create painful situations, health challenges, financial struggles, etc.? It’s easy to wonder if your Higher Self has lost its mind!

The secret to understanding the infinite wisdom of the Higher Self is to stop placing a value judgment on an experience or circumstance. If we can stop thinking of things as “good” or “bad”, it makes it easier for us to find the lesson and the importance of the experience.

Remember, it’s all good!

In Prosperity Boot Camp, I teach the Law of Focused Success:

“Where You Put Your Energy And Attention Is Where You Get Growth”

When you embrace all of life’s experiences and focus on the intention of growth and expansion, by the Law of Focused Success, you get more growth and expansion.

When you resist the experience and spend your time and energy on hating all the aspects of your life circumstances, unconsciously, you are growing more resistance and experiencing more aspects of your “problem” that you hate.

Now think about this for a moment. Emotions are simply different vibrational levels. Joyful emotions are faster and therefore lighter and more expansive by nature. Sadness, anger and grief are slower vibrations and are felt as being dense and heavy.

When we are feeling joyful, we vibrate so quickly and expansively that we want to “dance for joy” and we feel light on our feet.

When we feel sad, we feel “heavy” with sorrow and our energy goes away.

Joy causes an expansion (growth) of our essence and sadness manifests as a contraction (decrease) of our essence.

If the purpose of life is growth and expansion (our service to God), then our goal is to move more closely to the fullest expression of our joy. That takes a little attitudinal adjustment sometimes!

It’s Okay To Feel “Bad”

I want to make one important point here. One of the things I see happening in the “New Thought” or “New Age” consciousness movement is this strong focus on positive thinking and happy thoughts. What I have witnessed and even sometimes have felt myself is the belief that it is not “okay” to feel bad or sad or even to struggle.

Working towards the fullest expression of joy is our goal. Please note that I am not in any way suggesting that this is not true. But, we are where we are. And, like it or not, life will do what it does and sometimes we get curve balls like unexpected illnesses, tragedies and even deaths we didn’t anticipate.

Sometimes you will feel frustrated, angry, stuck, despairing. If it’s all good, then feeling “bad” is also all totally okay. It is all too easy to get into a terrible emotional rut when you feel bad and walk around focusing on your “stuckness” and just create more sadness, anger, frustration, etc.

Remember, where you put your energy and attention is where you get results.

If you are resisting where you are at the moment, you will really struggle with moving towards joyful expression. Allow yourself to feel what you feel. Recognize that those feelings are telling you that you want something different than what you are experiencing and allow yourself to begin to think about what you would like to be experiencing instead.

Our “bad” feelings are simply our Higher Self communicating with us and helping us clarify what we really want.

If you are in a situation you hate, it is important to identify the fact that you don’t feel good in the situation. Noticing that you are feeling dense feelings will allow yourself to get really clear about what you don’t want to be experiencing and also, hopefully, start getting more clarity about what you do want to be experiencing.

Just shifting your focus toward what you do want will begin the process of moving yourself closer to your growth and expansion and consequently, you will begin to feel better.

It is hard to change a situation you hate. When you hate your conditions, you are focusing on all the things you don’t like and don’t want. According to the Law of Focused Success, the only thing you are growing when you are focusing on how “bad” things are and how much you hate them, is more “bad” and hateful experiences.

And you know you don’t want more of that, right?

So, if you are in the middle of a situation you hate, the key to catapulting yourself out of it and into a different reality and experience is to begin to appreciate the conditions you are in.

When you are focusing on all the things you appreciate about your circumstances, you are putting your attention and energy into growing more opportunities to experience that which you appreciate, instead of icky stuff you hate.

So how does this look in real life?

Let’s say you are in the middle of transitioning out of a job you hate. Maybe you inherited this business from your father when he passed away and you felt obligated to carry on.

You have informed your employees and clients that you are closing the business and several of your key employees have left. Your clients are freaking out and pressuring you to close out their contracts because they are afraid you will bail on them, even though you intend to honor your commitments.

You are overworked, tired, frustrated and hate the situation you are in. But, you feel strongly that you have to honor your agreements and fulfill your contracts as part of closing your business.

If you are resisting the process and focusing on all the aspects of the situation you hate, you will only create more tension, stress and unpleasantness for yourself and maybe even for the few employees who are still hanging out with you.

When you go home, you might feel over-stimulated and grouchy and you snap at your kids and your partner, who in turn react by treating you in ways that don’t feel supportive.

You stop taking care of your body (too busy), smoke a lot (stress), sleep fitfully (more stress) and the situation just gets more and more intense as you grow in your hatred of the situation.

You can see how difficult it is to change the experience of the situation when the focus is on what you don’t want. And, by the Law of Focused Success you might even create more struggle, stress and hardship by really directing energy and attention to all the things you really hate about your circumstances.

Imagine how different your experience might be if your focus was here instead:

“How wonderful that I have had this wonderful employment that has created the financial resources that helped me buy a nice home and provide for my children.”

“As I pay these bills, I am so grateful to have been served by all of these wonderful vendors who have helped me grow my business.”

“What wonderful employees I have. They have stayed with me even through the darkest moments of my business.”

“I really appreciate my clients. They have given me years of opportunities to share my wisdom and knowledge. I truly appreciate their deep commitment to detail and how they always ask me for more information to make sure that our project works beautifully as it serves others.”

“What a great desk chair! It has molded itself to my body and holds me up so comfortably…”

“I really appreciate my Higher Self. He has created a wonderful opportunity for me to grow and expand my experience here in this life. I am so clever to create this growth for myself!”

Can you see how when your focus is on all things that are working and finding aspects of appreciation, even in the things that seem challenging, how your focus is on creating more experiences that you appreciate?

If you are in a situation you hate and struggling to find your way out, shift your focus on all the things you appreciate about the situation. It isn’t until you fall in love with your situation that you will see real change. The more you focus on what you appreciate and love about your situation, the more you will create opportunities for yourself to experience more and more joy, growth and expansion.

Remember, it’s all good!

Karen

More On Being “Crazy”…

November 12th, 2008

Ok. This is a bit of a personal rant so bear with me.

Please know that my intention here is to shine some light, not sound bitter or frustrated.

This week I have been hit with a barrage of emails from people who expressed “concern” that my recent emails are out of integrity for a “true” Prosperity Revolution.

One person wrote me to tell me that I should be happy with my client’s gratitude and I shouldn’t even worry about charging money.

I am very happy when my clients feel gratitude. And when the grocery store accepts my gratitude for toilet paper, delicious juicy apples and milk, I will stop charging my clients.

I promise.

Another was concerned that the wrinkled sheet in one my videos was “hiding” something.

Yes, I assure you, it was.

At the time when I filmed the video on my Prosperity Bootcamp information page, we could only film on a PC. The only PC was in my sons’ bedroom.

That wrinkled sheet was hiding a large pile of very old and smelly laundry piled on top of bunk beds that probably had not been made since we moved into that house.

I have a very real life. Sometimes inspiration has more power than “staging” in my reality.

Several others commented that I am not wearing enough clothing in my headshot to look “professional”.

I don’t want to look “professional”.

Look, I’ve had four babies travel through my body. A fifth one is on the way. I breastfed for 11 years straight. For at least 11 years I was covered in mud, slobber, finger paint and who knows what else.

I love my picture. It looks like how I feel about my life. I love it because it’s me, it’s real and authentic. I’m wearing a beautiful velvet dress that makes me feel like a goddess.

(And for anyone who has been home for years with small children, you understand the delirious delight in wearing “grown-up, dress-up” clothes, yes?)

I use that headshot because it reflects what I want YOU to feel. I want my clients to know that it is okay for you to show up exactly the way you want to; joyfully authentic and in alignment with the magnificence and beauty that is YOU!

I would look like a prisoner if you put me in a business suit.

I don’t want to convey any messages about feeling imprisoned. The whole point of what I do is to help you set yourself free!!!

I am so very, very grateful for these emails. I haven’t gotten any like these in a while and I know that what shows up in my outer reality is there because I attracted it. I created this experience.

(And, yes, sometimes I think my Higher Self goes out on a bender with her buddies and then comes home wasted and cooks up plots for my Little Self’s life.)

(But ultimately, I think Ms. Higher Self probably has some pretty good ideas about what she’s doing, much as I hate to admit that.)

There is a beautiful message here for me and I would like to share it with you in the hopes that it can help you, too.

Last week I taught a teleclass about “crazy, unshakeable” Faith.

(To access the recording of the class, Click Here.)

What is so “crazy” about faith? “Crazy” faith is believing something when you have no evidence that it is true in your reality at the moment. “Crazy” faith means you believe in something so strongly and you’re willing to do whatever it takes, no matter what anyone else in your life may think.

The “craziness” of faith gives you the power to ignore the collective conditioning field that teaches us things like:

1. You can’t make money doing what you love. Get a “real” job and do what you love on the side.

2. It’s bad to charge money for providing service to others. You should do it for free.

3. You have to work hard to make money and sacrifice a lot.

4. You can’t have it all.

And many other such beliefs.

“Crazy” faith and “crazy” people change the world.

What do you think Martin Luther King’s mother told him? What about Mother Theresa?

Did you think Obama was a little “crazy” to run for president?

It takes a little courageous insanity to go for what you really want.

Especially if your current outer reality doesn’t reflect your “crazy” dream – YET!

I have a lot of “crazy” faith. I have a mission:

My mission is to create total planetary prosperity by 2017.

I believe that all people have the right to consciously choose their life circumstances and create opportunities that are in alignment with their desires and Life Purpose.

I intend to support the conscious manifestation of a world where ALL people know how to create peace, prosperity and the fulfillment of their Divine Potential.

I intend to consciously create a world where all people are well-fed, deeply loved, valued and educated in a way that supports the growth and evolution of their minds, bodies and spirits.

My mission is to educate and inspire people to live in alignment with their divine birthright of Abundance.

I intend to fulfill this mission by:

Sharing The Prosperity Revolution system with individuals all over the planet through personal coaching, workshops and consulting. I know that every student is a key part in creating a prosperous world. There is great power in each and every one of us and we each serve a perfect and vital role.

I can’t fulfill my mission if I don’t fulfill my own prosperity consciousness.

In practical terms, that means that I can’t fulfill my Life Purpose and the deep, deep calling of my soul if I don’t have money to feed my children or myself. As harsh as this may sound, the same is probably true for you.

I can’t help others who are truly in need if I don’t have an income. Martyrdom is really not a sustainable or abundant model.

I’ll tell you a secret. I NEVER turn anyone away from any program that I offer because of money. If a person has a strong enough desire that inspires the courage of action and they ASK me for help, I will NOT turn them away.

But I can’t “afford” to do this if I am not in a solid financial situation.

Truth is, I have to market and “sell” my services so that I can create a strong financial foundation for myself, my two employees and my family. That foundation affords me the joy and freedom to be able to give freely to my clients, who I adore!!!

And the truth is, many of the Lightworkers in my practice struggle with this because of the collective belief systems I mentioned above.

Sometimes we resist the contrast in our life. When we react strongly to something, it’s often (or probably ALWAYS) something inside of ourselves that is out of alignment.

I thank all of you who sent me corrective emails.

You have inspired me on many, many levels. I will continue to be “crazy” in my faith and remember to not take things personally. I had gotten into kind of a “taking everything personally” (pregnant brain syndrome) rut lately and I needed a nice swift kick in the behind.

You have helped me deepen my clarity and my intention to help others achieve true prosperity by continuing to teach Prosperity Bootcamp, Inside the Body of God and my business development classes (we have a new, Teleclass Bootcamp coming up in December).

You have inspired me to learn even more about marketing so that I can have even more successful classes and seminars and increase my global impact.

And you reminded me how much I love that rebellious authentic spark that is Me. Yes, I am totally nuts. Yes, I love velvet dresses with spaghetti straps. Yes, I record videos and I’m not so good with lighting and makeup. Yes, my dreams are crazy.

But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Go forth and enjoy “crazy” Faith and lavishly abundant prosperity!!!!!!!

And if you want to take your prosperity consciousness to a whole new level, then please join me for Prosperity Boot Camp. It starts tomorrow evening!

I love you all!

We’re All In This Together!

November 9th, 2008

My youngest son, Karson, loves the online game, World of Warcraft. He’s pretty incredible. He can run two computers simultaneously, participate in a chatroom, IM with one hand, play the game with the other and talk on the phone all at the same time!

The coolest part about this game is that he has made friends all over the world! In fact, he met his first girlfriend online and they dated for over a year.

The internet is amazing. It can truly be a great unifier. My entire business is run online. My emails reach over 20,000 people all over the world. Just a few short years ago, I had to advertise in magazines and newspapers. My impact has increased dramatically with the internet.

This past week we had an incredible global experience. Even though it was, technically, an American election, the impact of what we decided has profoundly affected the world.

As we evolve towards creating a New World, we are moving closer and closer to creating a true global community. Quantum physics teaches us that each and every event in the cosmos impacts us all in some way.

If our outer reality is a reflection of our consciousness, then the internet is clear evidence that we are moving more deeply towards being consciously connected to each other.

Last Friday, in San Francisco, Al Gore spoke at the Web 2.0 summit. (Web 2.0 is a trend in web design and development - a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services (such as social-networking sites, wikis and blogs) which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users….Yes…I had to look this up….!)

“The electrifying redemption of America’s revolutionary declaration, that all human beings are created equal,” Gore said to a cheering crowd, “would not have been possible without the addition of the empowerment of individuals to use knowledge as a source of power that has come with the Internet.”

The internet unifies us by giving us access to information. And information gives us power.

In small communities in Africa and India, micro-loans have enabled communities to purchase computers and to have internet access. Farmers are now able to “shop” the markets online and take their livestock and crops to the markets that offer them the best value, thus increasing their income.

Knowledge is power. And a key ingredient to creating prosperity. Knowledge is what gives you the understanding to deliberately create your world. Without knowledge we are left to “blind” fate and “dumb” luck.

But knowledge alone isn’t enough. The information about deliberate creation and alchemy have been around for a while (like thousands of years…). A lone alchemist may have the knowledge to metaphorically turn lead into gold but a group of alchemists can transform the world.

We have been moving towards this most creative moment in time for forever. Recently I received this Abraham Hicks quotation (in my email inbox, of course…):

“As you are born into these physical bodies, you experience the vibrational continuum of the generations that have come before you. Their desires as they have lived as individuals—and their Collective Mass Consciousness desire— has emanated to the boundary-less boundaries of the Universe, and Law of Attraction is answering all of those requests. So, each generation who follows the previous generation benefits by the desires that have been exuded by Mass Consciousness.”

As individuated expressions of One God, we have been moving towards unity for lifetimes. Our hearts and spirits have been crying out with this desire for generations. Within the last hundred years we have had horrific contrasting experiences that have collectively deepened our desires for a peaceful, abundant and free world experience.

I believe that there is more and more evidence in our reality showing us that our collective desire for unity is happening.

Being human is an interesting journey. Most of us have had some kind of exposure to knowlegde to “wake us up” to living intentionally and deliberately. Life without knowledge still happens. But for those of you who remember what it feels like to be consciously “asleep”, you know it’s much more fun when you get to wave your magic wand with awareness! (Remember Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice in Fantasia?)

But once we “wake up” we are often slammed with a great Cosmic Loneliness. So what if you know how to use your “magic wand”…what good is an aware life without playmates?

In witchcraft it is taught that to make a spell more effective you need at least three witches.

Jesus said that whenever two or more people are gathered with similar intentions then there is more power.

In Judaism, there are several prayers and services that can not take place without a Minyan, a group of ten or more men.

Let’s face it.

Knowledge is power. And knowledge in the hands of a group of like-minded individuals can change the world.

Now is the time to come together and share and support each other as we continue to learn and grow. Let’s share ideas, encouragement, opportunities, insights and love!

And even better, let’s come together and deliberately intend a New World…a world where all people are well-fed, deeply loved, valued and educated in a way that supports the growth and evolution of their minds, bodies and spirits.

Want to join me?

Recently, I joined Facebook, an online social networking website. (And, yes, my teenagers are teaching me how to use it…). I invite you to join me on Facebook. Just click on the link below to get started (It’s free.). Let’s use this as a platform to connect and reach out to each other.

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1268312220&ref=name

“What happened in the election opens up a whole new range of possibilities, Gore said. “Now is the time to really move swiftly, to seize these new possibilities and to exploit them…Web 2.0 has to have a purpose. The purpose I would urge as many of you as can take it on, is to repair our relationship with this planet and the imminent danger we face.”

I don’t really think we are in imminent danger. There are way too many signs of hope. But, I do believe that we can intend, even more deeply, to co-create a New World in exciting, limit-shattering ways!

We’re all in this together!

And we don’t have to do it alone anymore!

Karen

In Honor of Halloween…Connecting with Crossed-Over Loved Ones

October 24th, 2008

As a professional psychic medium for over 10 years, people often call me to connect with crossed-over loved ones. It’s easy to miss someone who is no longer with you in physical form. When a loved one crosses, you may find that you are left with a lot of questions.

When most people seek out a medium, they usually have one pressing question, “Is my loved one okay?” Always, the answer is YES! It is so difficult for us to understand that all the pressures, the pain and the density of being in a body go away for people when they die.

I have never done a mediumship reading for someone who has held on to physical pain. Moving past the body allows sous to be free of the physical issues that may have been a part of their existence on earth.

Every medium has different experiences and even different techniques. I would like to share with you some of my experiences to help you perhaps find a way to connect with your loved ones in your own way.

WHEN A SOUL FIRST PASSES
The first thing that I notice with people when they cross over is that in the first two years after passing they seem to keep a large part of their personality. Usually when I am talking to someone who has recently crossed over, their biggest worry is whether their loved ones who they have left behind are okay. If there is a lot of grief or trauma related to their passing, the soul who has left seems to stay very close, as if to provide comfort and support to their family and friends who are missing them.

For me, when I am “tuning in” to someone’s energy field, if someone has recently passed in their life, that person is very easy to connect with. The departed soul is usually hovering very close behind the person’s back. Almost always, they have a hand on the person’s back behind their heart, as if they are holding the person up and sending them love. Sometimes, particularly if the departed one is a male, their presence is so strong I almost want to tell my client to duck when they come in the door to my office because I don’t want the departed one to bump their head when they walk in. So far, no one has. They seem to be able to maneuver the physical plane quite nicely.

It is during this two-year period that the soul of the person who has died seems to be “working” on resolving issues that perhaps were left undone on Earth. For example, if someone dies and there are unresolved issues with anger, the departed soul will work from the other side trying to make amends or assure the people left behind that the anger is gone and forgiveness needs to take place.

ONLY THE LOVE REMAINS
When the interpersonal issues seem to be blocking the person left behind from moving forward, there is usually a deep sense of urgency to resolve the issue. The crossed-over loved one is anxious for the ones left behind to move forward and finish their grief and sorrow.

I have never connected with a crossed-over love one who has held on to anger or resentment. These energies do not seem to cross the barrier into the “other side”. In fact, one of the reasons why I enjoy being a medium so much is that I get to experience love from the other side in a way that we seem to not be able to experience it in the earthly plane. Truly, when someone crosses over, only the love remains.

UNEXPECTED DEATHS
Sometimes, if someone has died unexpectedly or suddenly, there is a little bit of shock that a soul can experience. I don’t encounter this often, but when I do, I can call on the soul’s family members who have passed and Archangel Michael to help the soul adjust to being on the other side. This takes about a minute to do and then adjustment happens quite quickly.

RELEASING GRIEF
The more grief a family feels, the harder it is for a soul to progress to the next level. When we deny our grief or we don’t surrender it, the soul gets trapped trying to make things better. This is so true when I am working with children who have died. Children always tell me to tell their parents that they will never leave their parent’s side. Children seem to stay in their parent’s energy fields for a long time and almost seem to “grow up” next to their parents even though they are no longer here.

As soon as we begin to resolve our grief, the soul can then go on to the next level of development. I usually see this around the two year mark after a person’s passing. At that point, the personality seems to fade away a bit and the soul begins to exist in a pure state of love and energy. Sometimes, at this point, it is difficult for me to “see” the person’s physical appearance and I can only connect with their soul energy.

Personally, this is an amazing experience. When I connect with a soul in this state, my own body, particularly my heart chakra, expands with this love-force energy and I feel so much beauty and peace. This is a love energy that we can all tap into if we just remember to feel past our physical form and remember that all the trials and tribulations of being on Earth are just dense forms of energy.

COMMUNICATING WITH DEPARTED LOVED ONES
Different souls seem to have different skill levels of communication. Sometimes I will encounter a soul who just loves to talk and can communicate quite clearly. I sometimes have to blink when I deal with these spirits because it is hard to tell that they are not in physical form. I connected with a sweet man the other day who was very good at communicating across from the other side. He was such a chatterbox and was so anxious to talk to his daughter, I couldn’t get him to be quiet!!

The most common way that crossed-over loved ones seem to communicate is through working in dream-time. Most of my clients will tell me that they have very different kinds of profound dreams just after a person has crossed over. If you have had these kinds of dreams, don’t discount them. They are very real communication from your loved one.

We have a tendency to believe that connecting with crossed-over loved ones is similar to the experiences of the boy in the movie, “The Sixth Sense”. My experience (and the experience of many other mediums I know) is not like this at all. We discount a lot of inter-dimensional communication from loved ones because it doesn’t look like it does in the movies.

If you are seeking to connect with a crossed-over loved one, let go of all your paradigms about how you think your experience or your communication should look like. You are probably connecting with your loved one just fine. You just may be doubting your experience.

Most souls will tell me that they talk to their loved ones all the time but that they just don’t listen. My experience with crossed-over souls is that they can talk to us sometimes in our head. You may actually hear (but not like hearing with your physical ears, more like talking to yourself in your head) your loved ones words or voice in your head but then discount it or think you are experiencing wishful thinking. Trust yourself and what you are experiencing. If you are hearing a loved-one in your head, you probably really are!

Pets seem to be able to connect better than humans. Many souls will show me images of dogs or cats. The crossed-over souls tell me that dogs, especially, will do strange things after someone has passed, like stand at the top of the stairs and seemingly bark at nothing. This is just your pet connecting with your loved one. Pay attention to your animals. They can perceive energy in a way that we can’t sometimes.

CHANNELED WRITING
One of my favorite ways to help people to connect with crossed-over loved ones it to teach my clients to do channeled writing. It is very easy to connect with departed souls through writing.

This technique is very easy to do. Simply write a question for your loved one on paper. You can even write them a letter if you want to. Once you are done with your writing, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and ask that you be connected with your loved one.

As soon as you feel ready, (If your are deeply skeptical do this anyway, you may never feel ready.) write what you think the answer would be to your question or your letter. You may have to “prime the pump” so to speak when you first begin writing. Just write what comes into your head. You may find that as you continue to write, the words come faster and even the tone of voice of your words may change. This is just your loved one coming through for you!!

The biggest block to connecting with a crossed-over loved one is skepticism. We doubt so many of our Divine Messages because they don’t happen the way we think they should. Let go of your doubt and just play. If you think you can’t connect with a departed one, imagine what it would be like if you could and see what happens. This is not supposed to be so serious and departed ones remind me of that all the time!

Losing a loved one can be a devastating experience. Allow yourself to feel your grief and your sorrow. The more you allow for your sadness, the more quickly you can move past it. When my clients are not allowing their sadness, the pain and the grief goes on much longer and can even manifest in physical illness. As hard as it is, let it go. It has been my experience that time does truly heal the pain and that only the love remains.

Our departed loved ones encourage us to release our grief. Completing our grief sets us and them free, too. And it makes room to bring more love into our lives.

International “It’s All Good!” Day

October 21st, 2008

Today, October 22, 2008, is International “It’s All Good!” Day.

International IT’S ALL GOOD DAY is a special day in honor of my dear friends Martin and Connie Jordan’s son, Andrew, and the 1st anniversary of his passing. Andrew crossed over last year after a four-month battle with leukemia.

Even before his illness, Andrew had an amazing positive attitude and love of life. He was an inspiration and continues to be from the other side.

Andrew was diagnosed July 11, 2007 with AML Leukemia. During his nearly 4 months at All Children’s Hospital, he kept his attitude of “IT’S ALL GOOD!”, even when he got injections of chemo shot into his spine a few times a week. The hospital staff and patients regularly gathered in Andrews room noting that his energy was always calming and uplifing.

If a 16 year-old young man could keep his positive attitude while enduring excruciating pain, than so can we, for at least one day!

Andrews greatest desire was to touch, teach and inspire people all over the world. On the anniversary of his passing, we decided to do something to help Andrew keep his spirit and his legacy alive.

So, on Oct 22, 2008, in honor of Andrew, I encourage you to set the intention to consciously keep a positive mindset, no matter what. Smile at a stranger, hold the door open for someone. Be a part of the goodness that flows between us as Divine Siblings. Every chance you get, notice the Good that surrounds you! Remember that you will be joined today by many people around the world celebrating Andrew’s life and IT’S ALL GOOD DAY!

In honor of IT’S ALL GOOD DAY, I invite you to join me in a special project. I have a lovely 18- year-old friend, Sarah Parker, who has volunteered six months of her life to work with orphans in Nepal.

Sarah recently emailed her Dad and asked him if he could send warm hats, scarves and flea powder for the children. If you would like to help Sarah and her Dad keep the orphans warm, I invite you to send childrens hats, scarves, art supplies (especially pens and paper…we take for granted how lucky we are to be able to write anything whenever we want…) and anything else you’d like to share with the children to me:

I will be giving Sarah’s Dad your donations to send in a package to Sarah on October 31, 2008.

If you would like to donate money instead, I can make your purchases for you:

Spread the word! IT’S ALL GOOD!

Love,
